Restricted Licence Practical Driving Course

Based in Manukau, Auckland, we're excited to offer the New Zealand Restricted Licence Practical Driving Course.

PREPARING FOR THE NEW CHANGES IN JANUARY 2027

In line with the upcoming changes, we're preparing to include the Hazard Perception tasks (currently used in the full licence test) to this course.

Our practical driving courses are designed to make sure you're prepared and ready for the actual driving test where you'll be required to demonstrate a number of key skills in preparation for your driving test.

​Duration:

5 days (1-1.5 hours per day) At least 2 weeks before your actual driving test.​​​​

​How it works

For the 5 days driver training, you must provide your own vehicle and it must have a current WOF and registration. The brake lights must be working and not damaged, the same applies to the indicator lights too. The horn of your vehicle must be working too.​​​

Must have enough petrol to cover the duration of the course each day.

Course Cost: (we will assess your driving on Day 1)

For students with no driving experience:

$650 - New Zealand Restricted Licence Practical Driving Course ($380 for Past Students who completed a theory course)

For students with driving experience:

$500 - New Zealand Restricted Licence Practical Driving Course ($380 for Past Students who completed a theory course)

Test Fee at VTNZ or AA

$167.50 - New Zealand Restricted Licence Practical Driving Test (If you've done the test before, you'll only need to pay for lower cost resit fee from your third attempt and thereafter.​​

From 27 January 2027, the test fee will be $160.50
